Don Kotnik was born and raised in Bascom, Ohio a little town in Northwest, Ohio. He was one of seven children and was taught at a young age that there was no substitute for hard work and determination. After graduating from Bowling Green State University (1987), Don went on to law school at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University. In law school, Don knew right away he wanted to be a trial attorney so he earned a spot on the school’s Mock Trial team. Don’s work on the Mock Trial team eventually earned him The Order of Barristers award which is only given to those graduating law students who have excelled in mock trial activities at their respective law schools. After graduating from law school in 1990, Don settled down in the Canton, Ohio area to raise his family. Don has been a practicing personal injury attorney in Stark County, Ohio since 1990. He has litigated cases in counties throughout Ohio including arguing cases in numerous Courts of Appeal. Don is married to Shelly and has five adult children & stepchildren and currently resides in Canton, Ohio.
